Shadows in Plan B Magazine

I wrote "Shadows" while pursuing my MA in English. I took a PI Detective Fiction course where the graduate students had to do extra assignments to get credit. The professor was kind enough to let us write short stories, incorporating the techniques learned in the class.

The detective in the story was inspired by a co-worker of mine, Michael Pearson. He never let anything stop him in spite of all the challenges he faced. This was written after his death, so he never got to read it. I hope it is a fitting homage for a unique individual.
